Schindler says there is an alarming rate of divorce, suicide and mental illness and criminal activity among members of the military who return to civilian life but feel a disconnect. Because they were so ingrained in the military way of life, they have trouble, he says, transitioning into life out of uniform.
Schindler's comments came during an interview on News Talk Online on Paltalk.com.

This is regrettable and it is difficult to maintain strong connections when your lives are on completely different tracks and you are physically removed from each other. As a huge fan of Paltalk video quality, I would love to see Paltlk offer two nics for the price of one to all members of the military community who are being deployed. I certainly use it to maintain connectiveness to the one I cherish and am very sympathetic about how hard it is for our people in uniform. They need out support as they support us by undertakking our dangerous initiatives.
