Palestinians Break Truce

Palestinians have broken the truce with the Israelis, firing three homemade rockets into that country.

Two people were injured in the attacks.

Israel has not said whether it would retaliate. But this puts Israel into a difficult position.

If it retaliates, the cycle of violence begins anew, more people on both sides will become casualties and the anti-Israeli propaganda machine, which holds that Israel "disproportionately" responds to attacks, will go into full force again.

If there is no retaliation, the people of Israel will rightly ask their government what it is doing to protect them.

I believe the truce with Hamas started last Thursday, June 19. It was broken June 24th.

I'm surprised it lasted so long.

I listened on your programme to someone say that, in essence, Israel were the aggressors, and that Israel ought to think twice. Maybe she needs to read some of the entries you put on your blog. Like this ine for instance
