Richard Lewis - Still Neurotic After All These Years

Comedian Richard Lewis uses humor to deliver his message about how substance abuse can ruin one's life.

Lewis, who has been dry for 14 years now, considers himself a "lucky drunk."

His friends and his spirituality, he says, saved him.

Lewis' comments came during his appearance on News Talk Online on Paltalk.com.

Lewis, who plays himself on the stand out HBO comedy series Curb Your Enthusiasm, says it's hard enough being himself in real life, much less playing himself.

He says the show's star, Larry David, also plays himself. Often to the discomfort of the audience.

David, Lewis says, often puts himself in situations where others try to make decisions for him. And David, he says, is "unconditional" about making his own decisions.

He calls David a "very charitable ... brilliant guy" and a good friend.

Once we were able to actually hear Mr. Lewis he was quite interesting and informative.

Maybe I'm a little prejudice. He's always been one of my favorite comedians. So thank you, Gary et al, for providing me with a pleasurable time.

What a delightful guy. He was friendly, funny and most impirtantky honest. Although the sound in the first half was awfil the second half made up for it. (and he thought Pat Buchanan's views wee ridiculous which made him even more endearing lol)
