Turning Humans Into Currency

Shalit

Hezbollah got the remains of 19 fighters in return for the bodies of two captured Israeli soldiers it returned this past week to Israel.

Hamas is vowing to not make the same "mistake."

Instead, Hamas, which controls the Gaza, will demand the return of 10 percent of the live Palestinian prisoners Israel holds. That is, if Israel wants captured soldier Gilad Shalit back.

That leaves the Israeli government with a tough choice. Does it do all it can to win Shalit's safe return? Even if that means releasing as many as 1,000 terrorists?

Not an easy decision to make.

Israel will do what it thinks is morally right.
There is no guarantee that Shalit is alive, after all they claimed the 2 in Lebanon were alive for the longest time. However, whether he is alive or dead will not be the issue that influences Israel's decision.
What really makes my hackles rise is the fact that they are celebrating this as a victory and looking at it as the new way ahead for negotiations. They, Hamas/Hezbollah, have no morality and prove time and time again that no matter what you do to negotiate with them they will not stand by their words. The divide between thinking in the East and West seem to be growing wider and wider.

Israel is used to making tough decisions. It will do what it thinks is morally right. Pity we can't say the same for Hamas and Hezbollah.

Israel live cheek by jowel with these people on a daily basis. We need to look at their approaches and learn from them..... not tell them what we feel they should do because it suits OUR political agendas.

Israel should release all Islamic prisoners. It cost the state too much to maintain these people; they are a burden on every level. The First Rocket fired at Israel by any of these Islamic groups after the Release is a solid reason for Israel to retaliate and take all. There is no other alternative to clean up this mess. 60 yrs is a long time and holds 2to 3 generations. Release All Prisoners; let the games begin.
