The time for protesting is through. It's time to wage jihad against Israel over its invasion of the Gaza.
That's what a recorded message, purported to be the voice of Osama bin Laden, says.
Bin Laden, who is vowing to not fail the Palestinian people, is calling on wealthy Muslims to contribute to this cause.
This was entirely predictable, of course. We hadn't heard from the titular head of al Qaeda from his cave somewhere near the Afghan-Pakistan border for months. So he makes verbal waves in an attempt to intimidate Israel.
If you think that's the last we've heard from pubic enemy number one, let me make a prediction. On or around March 20th he'll issue another audio message. March 20th is the anniversary of the launch of the U.S. invasion of Iraq (March 19th in the U.S.).
He can't, of course, come on camera, not even on YouTube, because it would reveal too much. Too much about his whereabouts. His condition. His current appearance. So he tries to strike fear in the hearts of his enemies from deep within the shadows.
The problem, of course, is there are weak minded people who may act whenever bin Laden talks. This shows no command and control structure in al Qaeda. But an attempt to encourage like-minded people to commit terrorist acts.
In the minds of these individuals, by the way, there is no substantive difference between Israel and the United States. So to them, bin Laden's call for jihad against Israel is a call to arms against the U.S. as well.

I just called a fatwah on Osama Bin Laden, so there! And come on, the REAL reason he can't appear on camera -- he's dead.
Weak minded people who may act when Bin Laden Talks? No Command and control structure? Time for everyone to wake up and reallize that the Command and Control Structure is the IDEOLOGY itself! That Ideology is collectivism, the ideology that places the welfare of a group over the welfare of any individual within the group, and will sacrifice individuals as necessary to further the "groups" interests.
This is an age old ideology, that usually rrides in a political vehicle, Socialism, Fascism, and Communism are all forms of Collectivism, differing only in their administration. However it is to be noted that none of these works without the threat or usage of brutal force.
This time the ideology is riding in the vehicle of a religion, however it's methods and motives are the same s they ever were, Domination and subjugation, and the elimination of those who refuse to go along.
Thjis ideology is being put forth by so many clerics, all around the world, that there is NO NEED for a command and Control Structure.
The world is faced with 3 choices,
1. To ignore this ideology and it's brutal tactics, and hope it will go away. Obviously this is unacceptable.
2. use whatever weapons are necessary to wipe all adherents from the face of the Earth. Despite the fact that many many older people, specially older democrats, wished to see this happen, there are very few pople that could live with themselves, (myself included) with all of the Collateral Damage that would be incurred.
3. And the only real choice, is to teach these adherents to live as we do. The state of collectivism always, but always, leaves it's people in poverty, and those with the brains to see it either escape, to go and live in Liberty, or protest it, and end up jailed or dead. No person who has reached a stage of power under collectivism will let go of, or allow a challenge to that power to go unchecked.
What must be done, is to remove the roadblocks to Liberty, and allow the people to determine their own future, free of the barbarian leaders they have now. To give them a shot at self determination. As has been show wherever it is tried, Liberty breeds prosperity, and prosperity breeds peace. We will never see peace from the people of the middle east untill they have the same measure of liberty that we have here, with the same measure of respect for individual rights, and individual soveriegnty that we enjoy.

OH, he is still alive!? Do we know? Any confirmation yet, that this is his voice and not a fake...? To me, in case it is him, this Call to Jihad sounds like a funeral song regarding his own uselessness. His former followers, the individual militant and fundamentalistic groups/organizations, going their own way now. He lost control, if he had any... This sure does not make it more easy for police forces or special services. This all reminds me on something like "once upon a time....". I do not feel sorry for him.
It was only a matter of time till we heard from Bin Laden - or someone from his organisation in relation to the Hamas/Israel issue. We can tiptoe around the issues that are at the root of the vast majority of acts of terrorism that have been commited in the world, but the reality is that Islam wishes to be dominant throughout the world. Of course in our world of Political Correctness we refuse to acknowledge this is the case.
Not only do we have the lunatic fanatical fringe in the Middle East, Indian sub-continent and Far East, but living in our back yards. When I see people on the streets demonstrating and carrying placards that call or threaten death to the people of our Western Nations and we do nothing it shows our weakness in their eyes. A weakness that is exploited by Bin Laden and his ilk.
Maybe we should all adopt the Lemming as our national emblem.
This guys timing has been nothing but impeccable. But after seeing a fattened Bin Laudin, a Just for Men Bin Laudin gray & black bearded, a right & left hand writing Bin Laudin its no wonder he only does audio recordings now. I mean this guy has even somehow eluded the FBI's most wanted terrorist list for the act of 911 for lack of evidence according to the FBI. Maybe too many people were wising up and not buying into his prior videos.
Its seems more likely some propaganda arm of the Govt is putting out these tapes and wishing the problems in the middle east expand into other countries. This along with the International crisis Colin Powell spoke about on Jan 21st & 22nd that we don't know about yet, makes me very suspicious the war on terror is as phony as the war on drugs.
Maybe lobbyist really do run this countries policies after all. As Rand Corporation was recently lobbying for a new war as a way to save the economy. Its become clear by recent events who has lobbied the most effectively.
Osama bin Laden is dead... he's been moldering in the grave since December, 2001, killed in the battle of Tora Bora. His IDEOLOGY, however, lives on and continues to plague us... It is time we buried this terrorist and got on with the task of the destruction of the IDEOLOGY of Death and Destruction brought to this land on 9/11/2001...

I listened to the message and was quite intrigued by the call for wealthy Muslims to contribute to the cause, Jihad... first thought was, Bin Ladin supposedly has massive income from narco-terrorism and support for his holdings and interests. The fact is we have placed a strangle hold on his income throughout the world. Regardless.. he asks for contributions because he is now so well embedded and entrenched that it appears as if he is requesting contributions like a badly produced Jerry Lewis Telethon. To support an attack against Israel. Where was the billions of dollars in the Bin Ladin construction company to support the Palestinians long ago... what a joke. For Islam to listen to this wanna be Imam who lives in caves and hangs in Pakistan playing on the support of clan chiefs in the mountain regions. A simple squatter that is idolized for his "Charlie Manson" personality. Very bad chess move by Bin Ladin. Wealthy Muslims are considering the same thing I have discussed.
