News Talk Online March 9, 2009: Abandoning Religion

More and more people are turning away from organized religion in favor of their own brands of spirituality. Others are questioning their faith entirely.

Today, the latest American Religious Identification Survey was released showing that traditional religious bases are eroding by large margins. In fact, 15 percent of those surveyed said they have no religion. More than half of the married people who were surveyed had civil weddings. And 66 percent say they do not expect to have religious funerals.

Joining us today on News Talk Online on to discuss this major change in religious trends is David Crumm, of Read The Spirit, an online home for people who believe that diverse spiritual connections between people of faith build stronger communities.
