Psychological, Spiritual Impact Of Economy Topic On Paltalk
"I don't know what's the matter with people lately," a friend of mine just lamented.
"People are so testy. And it seems I'm seeing more road rage than before."
The answer, could be, it's the economy stupid.
People are, undoubtedly, stressed out, by their own economic woes, their fears of financial problems and the constant barrage of the reporting of negative news about the economy. And it takes a toll, both psychologically and, we are now learning, spiritually as well.
Joining us on News Talk Online on Paltalk.com on March 12 to talk about how we can deal with the stresses of the economy will be Dr. Elliot Wineburg, psychiatrist at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in New York City and Michael Brown, the new senior minister at Marble Collegiate Church, also in New York. Wineburg is concerned that people are picking up unsafe habits, like drinking and smoking, to cope. He also says quick fixes, like taking Prozac, "won't help you get a job."
