Stimulus Debate Is Global

In the United States there is continued debate about the economic stimulus programs, but that dialog is not limited to the USA. The fact is that, while Wall Street may be the epicenter of the economic crisis - the entire world is affected by this recession - and similar investments in make work programs have been made elsewhere as well.

This week, the leaders of the G20 nations will be meeting in Pittsburgh and then they will all be heading to New York for the opening session of the United Nations General Assembly where the world economy will - again - be high on the agenda. In advance of those gatherings, British Prime Minister Gordon Brown is now urging his fellow world leaders to not pull the plug on economic stimulus packages.
