Swine Flu Update September 10. 2009

The first drug resistant case of swine flu passing from one person to another has been documented in North Carolina.

The CDC is warning that a swine flu vaccine may not be ready in time to stem the first expected influx of the disease next month.

A Harvard Public Health School study finds most businesses do not have a plan in place in the event the swine flu affects a large number of their employees.

University of Washington study concludes that you have a one-in-four chance of contracting the swine flu from someone else in your household.

The rush is on for a swine flu vaccine for hogs as well.

The Agriculture Department says the hog industry is suffering because the H1N1 flu is commonly referred to as swine flu.

And, finally British hospitals are doubling their ICU capacities to prepare for an expected influx of swine flu cases.
