EU Meets To Discuss Dividing Jerusalem
As expected - or in the case of the Israelis as feared - the European Union is meeting in Brussels to discuss dividing Jerusalem and declaring East Jerusalem the capital of Palestine.
The fact that there is no Palestine to be the capital of seemingly eludes the EU.
Israel will, of course, resist this action. It opposes preconditions to peace talks.
Meanwhile, there are those in the Kadima Party, previously in power, who note that since Benjamin Netanyahu became Israel's prime minister, the peace talks have stalled. They say that when they controlled the government Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas met with the Israelis weekly to seek a peace accord.
