Injured Vets Snub Gordon Brown

Usually when a head of government visits injured soldiers in hospital he or she is greeted warmly and thankfully by those recovering from their wounds. Not so Britain's Gordon Brown.

Brown - on a visit to a Birmingham, England hospital - tried to visit veterans of the Afghan war. But the wounded warriors snubbed him by closing their privacy curtains and refused to see him.

About half the wounded soldiers reportedly refused to meet with the prime minister.
