News Talk Online December 21, 2009: Nobel Prize Winner's Wife, Nuclear Talks

Anita Laughlin, wife of 1998 Nobel physics prize-winnter Robert Laughlin and author of the book, Reindeer With King Gustaf was my first guest on News Talk Online on the Paltalk News Network. She talked about the two hours she spent sitting next to and conversing with Sweden's King Gustaf at the Nobel Prize ceremonies in Stockholm, and how she ate the reindeer she was served.

Stephen Pifer, senior fellow at the Brookings Center on the United States and Euripe and director of the Brookings Arms Control Initiative was my second guest, to discuss the START talks between Russia and the United States - designed to reduce their respective nuclear arsenals. But we also discussed the nuclear threat posed by Iran, North Korea and non-state partiesl.
