Iran Rejects IAEA Plan

This probably should come as no surprise to anyone, but Iran has now formally rejected the International Atomic Energy Agency's plan designed to ensure that it not use its nuclear development plan to make weapons.

The plan, initially agreed to by Tehran, was to ship its enriched uranium abroad. Enriched uranium is necessary to make nuclear weapons.

The decision puts additional pressure on the five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany to deal with what many in the international community view as an increasing threat of a nuclear weaponized Iran.
