Iranians Charge Foreigners For Distrubances

Holding true to its claim that outsiders are responsible for the unrest in Iran, the government there claims that it has arrested a number of foreigners for inciting demonstrations.

Iran's semi-official FARS News Agency reports that the arrests, announced today by Iranian Intelligence Minister Heidar Moslehi, occurred December 27.

"Some of the arrestees are foreign nationals who sought (to launch) propaganda and psychological war (against Iran)," FARS quotes Moslehi as saying.

FARS reports that Moslehi claims that cameras and other equipment was taken from the people arrested. They allegedly entered Iran on Christmas Day. Moslehi did not say how many people were arrested nor did he reveal their nationalities.
