Keeper Of Anne Frank's Diary Dies At 100

Miep Gies, who saved Anne Frank's papers and then helped her father, Otto, compile them into what became the book Anne Frank's Diary died in a Netherlands nursing home following a pre-Christmas Day fall. She was 100.

Gies and others had helped hide the Frank family during the war until they were betrayed and arrested by the Nazis. Anne Frank, who became a symbol in death of the horrors of the Holocaust, died in a German concentration camp of typhoid at the age of 15.
