Yemen Tightens Entry Procedures In Anti-Terrorism Move

Yemen will no longer routinely issue visas to foreign visitors upon their arrival in that Arabian Peninsula nation - an attempt to cut down on terrorism activity there.

An al Qaeda group is based in Yemen and is claiming responsibility for the attempted downing of a U.S. jetliner over Michigan on Christmas Day. There were also links between the alleged Fort Hood gunman and a radical imam in Yemen.
