ABC Could Go Dark On NY Cable
In the next several days, cable TV viewers in New York City may lose Channel 7, the ABC owned and operated station in the Big Apple.
The reason: a contract dispute over how much ABC pays Cablevison to carry its content.
The dispute could prevent hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers from seeing the Academy Awards on Sunday.
Time Warner and Verizon Fios customers would not be affected. Neither would those customers who get their signal over-the-air with a converter box.
