Latest snowstorm fails to paralyze New York
New York City was actually prepared for this latest snowstorm - so much so that, despite up to a foot of snow, schools remain open - in marked contrast to the Christmas weekend Blizzard of 2010, which resulted in vocal criticism of Mayor Michael Bloomberg for the poor city response.
Up to two feet of the white stuff was predicted for Boston, and Amtrak service between New York and Boston was suspended.
This video, shot in Middletown New Jersey, shows that if you put aside all your angst about how the snow affects travel, you can actually enjoy the serenity it evokes.
