What the Arizona tragedy says about mental health care in the U.S
Mental health advocate Kim Lifton joined Gary Baumgarten on News Talk Online on the Paltalk News Network January 12 to discuss the state of mental health care in Arizona specifically and in the United States in general in the wake of the killings of six people and wounding of 11 others in Tuscon on Saturday.
Lifton noted that Arizona ranks almost last in the nation for mental health care.
She said her heart went out to the family of alleged shooter Jared Loughner, who, she said, from personal experience, likely did all they could to try to get the disturbed young man help.
