88-year-old woman bludgeoned to death in the Bronx

 Today I covered the sad story of an 88-year-fold woman, Evelyen Shapiro, who was killed in an apparent robbery attempt, possibly while returning home with groceries to her fifth floor apartment in the Bronx. 

Earlier I went to Brooklyn for a prayer vigil and rally for a young woman killed by a police officer at the end of a chase. She was in a stolen car that had been carjacked. His gun went off as he was trying to put the car in park after it ran into a utility pole killing the unarmed woman. Hear both of my reports at
