STANDING YOUR GROUND IN NEW JERSEY - WITH GREASE
New Jersey doesn't have a stand your ground law. And gun control is pretty strict. But that didn't stop the owner of this Linden, NJ restaurant from standing his ground. When a guy wielding a gun rifled through his cash register, the owner grabbed a pan of 400 degree grease and threw it on the guy. Then chased him out the door.
I interviewed the man who lives above the deli for 1010 WINS. He says he has nothing but admiration for the owner, who, he says, vowed after being successfully robbed two years ago, that he'd never let it happen again.
