NEW YORK'S FAMED ST. PATRICK'S CATHEDRAL PACKED FOR CHRISTMAS EVE MASSES
They came from around the world and around the metro New York area. People who feel that there's no place better than St. Patrick's Cathedral to celebrate Mass on Christmas Eve. So many showing up that they had to turn people away. But those who couldn't get in - not upset - perhaps in the spirit of the season - instead crossing the street to gaze at the big Christmas tree at Rockefeller Plaza before circling around, as one woman from Atlanta put it - to try again at the cathedral. To a person, those I interviewed for 1010 WINS they say they like to share in the joy of Christmas and what it stands for with other believers. But wish that feeling could last all year 'round.
More from 1010 WINS.
