The NTSB says stress testing of the gas main that runs in front of the two buildings destroyed by a natural gas leak on Park Ave in East Harlem found a leak - right in front of where one of the two structures once stood. This is not a final determination of a cause. That could take a year. But it is a clue. One that underscores something the NTSB raised when the go team first arrived. The main here is made of cast iron and plastic. Worrisome - not just across New York City - but elsewhere where they use cast iron. Because the aging infrastructure is prone to leaking.
