NFL DRAFTS 1ST OPENLY GAY PLAYER

It took to the last round, but the St. Louis Rams drafted Michael Sam, who came out while still in college, making him the first openly gay player to be drafted by the NFL. At HK Boxers, a gay sports bar on 9th Avenue in Hell's Kitchen, many customers are elated. But others say, they believe Sam is not the first gay player in the NFL. Just the first gay player to come out. They hope this clears the way for other gay players to publicly acknowledge their sexuality.

It was very distastful seeing two men kiss in a news story. This player broke ground being openly gay player. And what he does in his bedroom is his business. I would be offended if a man and a woman performed such a kiss at a press conference and I am offended by two men doing it. Such a personal act has no place in a news story and ESPN should not have aired such an act.
