THIS FIRE WAS IN STATE TWO OF A THREE-STATE CRIME SPREE

Cops say a man tried to abduct an 8-month-pregnant woman in Hazelton, PA, but was scared away when she screamed to a passing school bus driver for help. But then, they say, he went to another house in Hazelton, abducted another woman. But she got away when he later assaulted a national park ranger and stole his vehicle. Then, they say, he sped to Paterson, NJ, where, they say, he assaulted a salesman at a relative's car lot, set the office on fire and then sped away in a stolen Escalade. We pick up the story next on the George Washington Bridge, where he crashed into a Port Authority police vehicle. Then came across the bridge to Manhattan, where he struck another Port Authority cops car. That's when it finally ended - with his arrest. He was taken to the hospital for burns to his legs. Two Port Authority cops also taken to a hospital for treatment.

More from 1010 WINS.
