BILL DESIGNED TO SAVE THE LIVES OF CHILDREN LEFT IN HOT CARS IN THE SUMMER

In an interview with me for 1010 WINS, New York State Sen. Jack Martins of Long Island says he's introducing legislation that would give passersby the legal authority to break into hot cars where children have been left unattended by their parents in the summer. Without fear of criminal or civil repercussions.

Martins says when kids are left alone in stifling vehicles, seconds may make the difference between life and death. And action should be taken immediately rather than waiting for police to arrive to rescue the children.
