FIRE AT WELL-KNOWN TIMES SQUARE IRISH PUB

A 2-alarm fire broke out in the duct work in the kitchen of Connolly's Irish Pub on W 45th Street near Times Square - home to many Fighting Irish of Notre Dame football fans. In fact, it happened during half-time. The bar packed with people enjoying the game. Manager Patrick O'Sullivan says it went up the duct work and out the roof very quickly. The place was evacuated in minutes. No one was hurt. O'Sullivan says they're already mapping out repair plans so they can reopen their doors sooner rather than later.
