VIGIL AGAINST POLICE BRUTALITY IN MORNINGSIDE HEIGHTS, MANHATTAN

There were 100 demonstrations like this one, organizers say, across the nation. Opposing police brutality. This in the wake of the killing of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri. And Eric Garner on Staten Island. Feminista Jones - a Bronx social worker - put out the call for the simultaneous vigils on Twitter on Sunday. She says there's pent up frustration, especially in the black community, about the way police treat young black men in particular. She says she doesn't believe there's been an increase in police brutality cases. It's just that they're being video taped with cellphones. And now we know about them.
