When I interviewed folks the other day about Ray Rice, I found no one who came to his defense. They all agree the Ravens were correct to dump him. That the NFL was correct to suspend him. That Football Commissioner Roger Goodell was wrong to cover it up and that he should go, too, if it's proven that that's what he did.

But the people attending the home football opener of Rice's high school alma mater  had a different viewpoint. Everyone I interviewed for 1010 WINS at New Rochelle High School, where Rice was given a spot of honor along the sidelines, supported him. Said everyone deserves a second chance. After he knocked his then-fiancee out in an Atlantic City casino elevator.
