A restructuring at the NYPD to better respond to demonstrations and citywide emergencies
The NYPD taking steps to better respond to demonstrations - some of them large and some of them directed at police - that occur all across the city. Police Chief James O'Neill says they're combining the five Borough Task Forces under one command. To unify training and control. And to make it easier to respond to demonstrations, civil disorder and major crimes like shootings across the city.
