Snow may not stop the mailmen or ladies on their appointed rounds but what about the customers trying to make it into the Post Office?
It's a snow day so that means I'm out for 1010 WINS interviewing people having trouble negotiating midtown Manhattan on foot. The snow and rain mix has stopped but temperatures are dropping and the sidewalks - some of which are shoveled and salted - some of which are not - can be slippery. Not to mention the build up of frozen slush in the street making crossing difficult - especially for the elderly and disabled.
And then there's Louis, who, like Rocky at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, is celebrating his getting up and down the Main Post Office steps - but wondering why the folks who neither let snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stop them from delivering the mail couldn't shovel the steps for their customers.
