We all have these moments in journalism. Stories that are difficult to put into words.
One we aired today at Fox News Headlines 24/7 on Sirius XM 115 and Fox News Radio was particularly difficult for the entire team.
It was a story about a new virtual reality game. Where the player takes the part of a person trapped in the upper floors of the North Tower of the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. The scenario: The first plane hits the first tower and you're trapped above. How do you get out without dying?
And it is, as video games these days usually are, very graphic. You hear the sounds of the crash. The stunning disbelief. And then... and then it gets much worse.
It hasn't even been released yet. But already, on social media, people are complaining. The most vocal of those opposing the game are people who were there. Or lost loved ones. On 9/11.
