The battleship Texas, which fought in both world wars and is now a state historical site in Texas, is listing and in danger of sinking.
I'm reporting this story on Fox News Headlines 24/7 on SiriusXM 115
Pumps are working to clear the battleship of 2,000 gallons of water a minute at her berth in Laporte Texas. Some small holes have been repaired, but the water keeps coming in. And the only answer may be to dry dock the 100-year-old ship, says battleship Texas Foundation's Stephany Croatt.
"The only answer for us is to get the ship into a dry berth," Croatt says.
"We'll set her down on some blocks and remove the water from the slip. That would allow us to fix the hole."
The USS Texas is the only remaining World War I-era dreadnought battleship
