Fake cops invade home

The real Miami-Dade police

The cops are supposed to be the good guys. But what happens when the bad guys dress like the cops?

It's a story I'm covering on Fox News Headlines 24/7 on SiriusXM 115.

Two guys, dressed like cops, break into a home in southwest Miami-Dade Florida

“Two individuals dressed as police officers, wearing a vest and were armed, broke the front door of the residence and when they were inside they got the homeowners, they handcuffed them both and forced them to go into their safe,” says Miami-Dade police Detective Argemis Colome. “At this moment they took an undetermined amount of money and they fled eastbound.”

Colome says three children were in the house when it happened. He says cops are particularly concerned that these two guys are masquerading as police officers.

“These individuals that are willing to wear police insignia, badges, gun belts, vests and armed are considered very dangerous and basically defrauding the police department,” Colome says.

This is not the first time this has happened in Miami-Dade. A similar house invasion by fake cops took place in February.
