Sometimes kids are left in hot cars to die by mistake but cops say this mother did it on purpose

Cynthia Marie Randolph

Here's another story I'm reporting on Fox News Headlines 24/7 on SiriusXM 115:

A mom whose two children  died after she left them in a hot car to teach them a lesson is charged.

Parker County Texas detectives say 25-year-old Cynthia Marie Randolph admitted to them that she left her 16-month-old son and 2-year-old daughter in the car to teach them a lesson.

The outside temperature at the time was 93 degrees.

Cops say she at first claimed she searched for about 25 minutes for the kids who disappeared while she was doing laundry and watching TV. Then found them unresponsive locked in the car. But under repeated questioning, she kept changing her story.

Finally saying she found them in the car and when the girl refused to get out when ordered, she locked them both inside. Then went back in her house, smoked some weed and took a two-to-three hour long nap.  Then returned to the car to find her children unresponsive.
