Nowhere is there to be found an attempt by the congressmen quoted to intimate that they’d either voted for or supported the bill. The article is of the proverbial lowdown, dirty type, but once realized that the source of this pap is the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee website, any surprise at its attempt to mislead flies out the window.

Gary, quite frankly I’m taken aback that you posted this and disappointed that you made yourself party to it. The article absolutely reeks of the corruption and dishonesty that not only is so pervasive in politics today, but that with the dawn of the joint Obama-Pelosi Administration now sadly defines the Democratic Party.

Second, but equally palpable is that Democrats have turned a deaf ear to the public. People are SICK of the doom and gloom that President Hope & Change has been spewing nonstop – as in really sick and tired of it – as well as what’s becoming the very annoying sound of his voice droning on and on and on. All these congressmen who were quoted are really guilty of doing, is trying to be a little bit positive and make the best of a bad situation. In other words, they were trying to turn a whole lot of Democratic chickensh*t into some chicken salad.

You know if you were honest, you'd admit that even if these congressmen had taken the other tact and screamed loud and long, vociferously and raucously about what an ungodly horrible, pork-laden bill that was being shoved down the throats of American taxpayers, you would have complained about that, too. Nothing they could have said or would have said would suit you. NOTHING.

There's also a third, more subtle thing going on here. The Democrats are trying to pull the focus and attention away from their 3 big lies, aren't they? They think the average American is just plain stupid - and they're so smart - that they must lead us by whatever means to glory and salvation - or straight to Hell.

Lie #1 Saying that the bill was an emergency measure was a ruse to cut off any debate. Obama was in Washington less than a month before he took off to spend Valentine’s Day with his wife - in Chicago - and took almost 4 days to sign this “emergency” bill. Amazing that once it passed, the crisis abruptly ended. Lie!

Lie #2 This bill does not offer any significant, immediate stimulus to the economy. Most of it won’t even be spent this year and the Congressional Budget office has already warned that the bill will hurt long-term economic growth. As for the high speed rail, we’ll just have to wait and see if the environmentalists even allow that project to get off the ground – and even if by some miracle the stars are all aligned in the heavens, BO holds his mouth just right, and we click our heels together 3 times - it will still take over 10 years to complete. Oh, and one of the 3 Republican [sic] senators that voted for the bill, Arlen Specter had $6 billion put into the bill for medical research that has nothing to do with “immediate” stimulus. Lie! Lie!!

Lie #3 This was not a bipartisan effort - not in any way, shape or form. Not one single Republican congressman or woman voted for it and six Democratic congressmen voted against it. Only three very liberal Republican senators voted for it. You call that bipartisan? Isn't it wonderful to see Obama keep a campaign promise? He promised to change Washington politics and by God, he has. We’re playing partisan Chicago-style Democrat politics now, and all this pork-laden bill amounts to is a funneling of political payoffs to Democrats and their allies. Break out the hot dogs, boys! You think it isn’t a joke on the American people? The largest spending bill in the history of the world has just been passed and signed BUT CONGRESS NEVER EVEN HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO READ IT AND THEY'RE ALREADY TALKING ABOUT THE NEXT STIMULUS PROGRAM! Lie! Lie!! Lie!!!

Go ahead. Posture and pontificate like the Emperor in his new clothes, because it’s all hanging out, baby. Washington has turned into nursery rhymes and fairy tales with piped pipers and the economy and Constitution both being bandied about for the role of Humpty Dumpty.

Daily it gets clearer that the main agenda of the Obama Administration is to lay groundwork for a one-party system in the United States. Of course, the one-party socialist state has destroyed many counties already, but these are the brilliant elite minds at work – who are we, who is anyone to question their greatness - and you people don't care! All that matters is you won! You won!

Picture it: The entire country run like Chicago, Detroit, and Cleveland under one-party rule. Corruption will be the only game in town.

The stimulus bill was only the first step in the groundwork and why it will be spread out over several years – to give the Democrats hundreds of billions of dollars to hand out to their supporters. Watch for a great spirit of generosity to emerge during the election years of 2010 and 2012. And deny, deny, deny, but bet you can’t give a reasonable explanation why the final stimulus bill gives $3 billion to a group like ACORN
The Democrats’ game plan worked in 2008 and now they want to use taxpayer dollars. The American people should cry, “FOUL!” OB claimed that he raised $750 million for his campaign… and now ACORN will get $3 billion? Mind boggling!

And who else is being “stimulated”, hmmm? Well, by some estimates, half of the appropriations will go directly to benefit government employee and service employees unions. Imagine that!

Tens of billions will go to state and local governments to provide even less Congressional accountability. It just gets better and better!

And let's not forget that the ever popular massive payoffs to Democratic Party special interests must be met! Who’s in for a cut this round? Why, The National Endowment for the Arts, of course –they provide so many jobs to Middle America; special new cars for government employees (boy, howdy! Even MORE new jobs!); then there are the robust employment-generating youth activities, green, environmental and energy programs and by golly, while we’re at it, we're going spend another $3.7 billion to green up our military bases. I don’t know about you, but I am so gratified, so heartened to see $125 million going to restore “abandoned mines”. Just brings a tear to my eye and a pain to my ass. Okay... Maybe I’m being a little too skeptical. Perhaps the abandoned mines will be put to good use for a worthy cause. I can see the Democratic Party fixing them up so they have a clean, environmentally friendly place to incarcerate conservatives and Republican that dare speak their minds after The Fairness Doctrine is reinstated.

Hubris? How many out there knew that this "stimulus package" is going to create THIRTY-THREE new government programs? Apparently you don’t know what hubris is. The last time we saw such brass, contemptuousness and distain for the American people - so much overbearance, pomposity, and pretension was the last time Barack Obama opened his mouth and started flapping his lips.

If the Democrats keep this up, they should really just lose the jackass even though it suits them so well - unless it can bear the 500 pound gorilla on its back.Moose Schnauzerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08954719323915364135noreply@blogger.com
