It will prove difficult finding the center of THAT dome! Maybe they're thinking about a gynormous 6-ring circus type effect... Imagine when our friends from Dallas drive down - what a surprise that will be.

One last thing, how will a dome prevent flooding? Most weather-related damage caused in Houston doesn't come from high winds or hail, unless we have hurricane force winds and that's not too often, but we'll put our flood waters up against anybody's, anywhere, any time! Ever seen 18 wheelers floating down the interstate? We have! Better put some industrial strength gutters on that dome with long spouts feeding into the Gulf!Moose Schnauzerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08954719323915364135noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4294294294975883770.post-39260659631609801452009-06-09T21:10:56.684-04:002009-06-09T21:10:56.684-04:00This comment has been removed by the author.Moose Schnauzerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08954719323915364135noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4294294294975883770.post-33490625408914411762009-06-09T15:58:15.340-04:002009-06-09T15:58:15.340-04:00And, I guess most importantly, no one's golf g...And, I guess most importantly, no one's golf games, soccer matches, or football or baseball games would be cancelled on account of the weather.

Golf? We don't care about no stinkin' golf! Well, I don't anyway, but inclement weather hardly puts a damper on major league football, baseball and basketball in Houston. The Astrodome was the first of its kind, billed as the "Eighth Wonder of the World" so who knows, maybe maybe we'll build the Ninth! But if it gets any colder inside Houston's office buildings in summer, I'm going to start clamoring FOR global warming!Moose Schnauzerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08954719323915364135noreply@blogger.com
